i was nearly finished when i did the most stupidest thing, i hit the stud of the bolt by accident with a hammer while trying to get the thing off, now i have flattend the thread on the stud....

just want to know can i remove the ball joint and replace it or new hub?

The "stud" is part of the ball joint, which you can replace. I would try finding a die nut for it and try to repair the thread, unless you REALLY messed it up. No need for a new hub.

Just need to bend the locktab down, and get a 1.5inch socket/spanner to fit the ball joint and you can replace it. You will need to set up the shims etc though.

use a thread file or get a die nut its easy to do. you should of learned this stuff at tafe

next time wind the nut out just past the thread of the ball joint and then hit it (whilst supporting the top or bottom arm). if i remember correctly, removing the bottom one first was the easier way.

its ok problem solved, went and borrows a thread file from a mate and fixed the thread..good as new.
