I will soon be stripping down / cutting up an old, rusty-as-buggery Clubby shell & also ceased-as-buggery engine (from a farm-find Mini) for a few misc parts and prob tossing the rest.

Does anyone know of any scrap metal merchants that will pick up the motor & misc panels/parts for free, or will I have to drop to them?

Sorry Alan, but you'll have to ring one of your NOR scrappies.
A few months ago they would have come & paid you $60, now with the scrap prices at a low, they would probably just take it if you dropped it off.

Wouldn't hurt to ring one of the smaller mobs (not Sims) to see if they'd pick it up for nix.

That's the main reason why I was asking - scrap metal prices (HMS) have plummeted by up to 75% in the last 6 months or so!

I honestly don't care whether I get any money for it so worst case scenario, I load up the trailer with engine (minus fluids), frames & panels (after much fun with the grinder ) and dump it with a merchant.

Hi, I have no tips on scrapping it, but am interested in your exterior door handles if the clubman is late enough to have the "finger tip - lift up" type of handle that goes on a rollup window door, and they aren't too rusty! Am also interested in quarter vent windows that have the little j hook closer/lock attached.
Please let me know if you have these parts, I'd hate to see them go to the scrap pile, and would love to use them on my clubbie van resto.
Best of luck on the cutting!
Best regards,
MSH
