Hi guys, Long time between posts. Just wondering, are too hard brake pads a bad thing? i.e. if i have EBC Greenstuffs and don't get them hot enough, will they just start wearing into my discs? If i'm not using them enough, should i maybe just use Blacks? Discuss. ![]() |

You should be using blacks, much much better in your case. (IMO) |

Greens don't wear your discs any more than blacks do, I ran them for years. I recently went from greens to blacks purely because the greens don't stop great the first one or 2 stops, and I drive mostly in traffic now. Greens will go back in if/when I do a track day. ![]() |

At the risk of starting another he say-she say thread, I'm more impressed with my blacks on the 7.5's than with the greens I had in my 8.4's. I don't understand why, both had new discs, rear drums adjusted nicely and the pedals are/were good. |

I've driven my 1275 LS with blacks and Cam Brown's old 1275 LS with greens, so both brake setups were the same. I like the blacks much better. I guess it's because Mini's are so light. I'm sure my WRX would be great with greens. |

Black formulation seems to have been changed recently. 1st set I had in Barney were OK but easy to fade. When a pad fell out (chinese split pins ![]() I gave mine a hard time through Galston Gorge this week. ![]() |
