Talking about mounting an exhaust system on a Mini usually starts a debate about extractors, pipe size, mufflers etc. It all depends on your budget and trying to get as much information about the different components and how they suite your application. The exhaust system is the the final part of your cars performance system, and has a direct impact on how you enjoy the car. Me, I,ve got a stock 1100 and when I fit the 12g295 head it will get Perry extractors a 1 1/2 inch exhaust with a stainless semi-baffled muffler and twin 1 1/4 inch tips, it suits my budget and application and should give it some bark and not too much resonance. |

ive always put 1 3/4 inch piping on my minis straight through exhurst with a hotdog in the middle or RC40 on the back with a nice 2" chrome tip |

In my opinion, cannons look fugly. I'm with tiny on this one. 1 3/4 inch with a nice RC40 or similar is what I would go for. Ryan |

Maniflow LCB extractors into either a 1 3/4" or 2" pipe to a "hot dog" 1 3/4 or 2" exit.......sounds quite good i think and works very well! stainless is nice but it depends on your budget. |

The chinese copies of the maniflow are very nice as well if you want to save a few dollars. |

2&1/4 is overkill on a 1.3ltr ... its even a bit overkill on my 1.6 4age down low (top end its fine). stick to 1&3/4 with an rc40...true mini sound wins |
