Who says lighter oil aint better for power?? I reckon there is a noticeable difference when cold and all round.

I've run Edge 25W50 all summer long and although I am not knocking Formula R as I will continue to use it in summer, I just changed it to good old KMX 20W50 and she's revving alot harder. I reckon there's a noticeable difference for sure.

Formula R really took a beating in 1000miles though, very dark, very petrol smelly, lots of dissovled gunk in there. I need to go for longer drives...

Anyway just wanted to share with the Ausminiverse...

I run KMX usually but put Castrol Formula R (aka Edge) 25W/50 in this time, as I had 2 NOS cans sitting here.
Oil pressure on cold startup is a little higher, but once warm I see no difference in pressure. Both 70-75psi, hot.
Both are good oils, but KMX is under 1/2 the price. :D

how's your mixture? if any oil smells like petrol then you're washing your bores and your bearings will be toast pretty quick

Nar I think it's fine, I am just being overly sensitive and exagerating abit. Plugs are good, carb settings seem to be fine. I think it's just ALOT of short trips (I live 5 mins from my work now)

But you're right, I haven't checked my fueling lately, I'll look into it again this weekend.
