There is a bloke selling a very dodgy ID plate on Ebay at the moment (hurry, it will be pulled very quickly ![]() Why do they do this? You would think that he would at least get the numbers correct. ![]() It is so wrong it is laughable. |

I wonder what a Mk2 is doing with an ID plate? I wonder why the Prefix is the same as the parts book and not the same as what was stamped on the cars? I wonder why it has a date on the plate? I wonder why it has no engine number, only the prefix? This is the same bloke that sells blank plates on ebay every now and then. |

Mk 1 is a YKG2S2 Mk 2 is YG2S4 (they deleted the second digit on the mk2) The Parts book PUB1056M lists the number as YKG2S4 and this book is where everyone gets the wrong info from. |

No it was 67/68. Marine Blue was a 66 colour. ![]() |
