Post subject:  rear brakes

hey guys, yes again this is another handbrake topic!

im sick of cables, they just dont seem to work.

i have been looking at the hydraulic handbrakes the same as the one kyoda bought for a while now.

my question is, how do i set it up, lines etc?

its going in a delux with standard brakes all round(and step drums)

all flexi hoses are new aswell as shoes.

is tehre a valve i can put in the line, so if i happen to pop a rear line i still have front brakes?

cheers motorkhana gurus(doogie, simon etc:) )

You plumb it in on the rear brake side of the bias valve, into either pipe at the subframe. If you put it on the master side of the bias valve it wont be strong, the bias valve will kill it.
I have often thought this would be good, remove both lines from the bias valve that go to the wheels and join them with a T piece, plug 1 hole in the bias valve, fit a line from the other hole on the bias to the inlet of the handbrake, fit a line from handbrake output to T piece.
:D RACE :D
