Hi all

I know its a long shot but is there anyone out there who was involved in the Townsville Mini Boys back in the mid-late 60s?

It was a sort of unofficial club of Mini nuts who hung out together and took part in runs, official and unofficial drag racing (read legal and illegal) and all sorts of other good stuff.

At one stage there were around 20 "members". Those who were there would remember the Sombrero, EJ Ray, 3 minute GT, and Dymo just to name a few.

I do recall attending the unofficial drags involving some of my mates with their Falcon GT's, cooper S, Jag and motorbikes but didn't participate. The poor old A40 wasn't in their league.

It would be great to be be able to put some of those old connections together again.

One of the guys who was around at the time had a letter published in The Mini Experience a few issues ago. Both he and his brother were heavily involved. I seem to recall they both worked for QR at the time.

I think we are talking about the same person. He was the guy who mentioned the mini guys to me. You can PM me, if you wish as I don't like to publish his name without his consent.
