I want to get some pedal covers for my mini. My dad had some but were quite slippery when your shoes got wet. Anyone have any suggestions of where I can get a set of suitable car pedal covers that have good grip when wet, and can be attached to mini pedals? Preferrably without drilling holes in my pedals... Nice try, but pedal additions like this don't help anything. They instead interfere with each other as the mini pedal are so close together. When you step on the brakes it's impossible not to push the accelerator pedal as well unless you have tiny, tiny feet. Give the cheap chinese pedals a miss and have a look at these instead. Very true. My van has a Paddy Hopkirk accellerator pedal extension, and it's a royal PITA, about half the time I go for the brake I clip the throttle as well.. |

Same here. The wife and I nearly put the car through a fence a few times. Good riddance...

If I drive my car, I seem to be able to manage with these. No shoes of course. (Crap pic taken with a prehistoric digital camera in 2002)

Those pedals look better spaced then mine. And I've only got the extension on the throttle. |

A friend had some on his mini. I had alot of trouble with shoes on but it was far from ok even without shoes for me. They ultimately ended up causing the accident that wrote that poor mini off. A mate (not my mate who owned it) at the time borrowed the car and went for the brakes and ended up with accelerator as well, he was reversing, and his instinct was to push harder on thr brake pedal (also the accelerator) and then bang! over the gutter and into the ditch and it rolled over. Even without bigger pedals I still manage to mash the accelerator from time to time. |
