Std needle for an early 1275 Moke with stock airfilter setup was an AAG. My Leyland Black Book doesn't cover the 1275LS, but it would be different and no good to you as it had all the emissions crap on. ![]() |

Aaron,, , what type of carb,, swung needle ?(self centering) .... or fixed type? & has there been any work done inside???, like cyl head port work, bgger valves, camshaft upgrade etc???,,, is there extractors fitted etc??? If it`s got a bit of work done to it & if it`s a fixed needle type carb, i would try maybe BQ,,, probably a bit rich but shoud ge you started. |

Typo, It was supposed to say Bog Stock. Matt Swung type. Nothing done to it at all. It has an ADE in at the moment but it is no where near right.... Idles great, Runs Poo.... I have only limited needles and was thinking about trying an M needle as i have one. Anyone in Sydney have a bunch of needles? Mr Malure is off racing so he's no good to me tomorrow... |

I`s easy enough to change it over tho,,, in otherwords make a fixed needle fit into a swing type collar Punch the old swing type needle out of the collar & then squeez the collar (just a tad mind you) & locktit the fixed type needle into the collar,,, hey presto, one swung type fixed needle ![]() especially if you don`t have the proper ""swung-to-fixed"" needle adaptor thingy, which is just basically a small hollow cyl of brass with a grub screw hole in it ![]() & if it`s stock, then maybe a dy or dz,,, again probly a tad rich for you but will certainly get you goig ok for sure I don`t think an M will keep up tho |
