 Post subject: door striker plate prob

after spending sat night taking out 46 yo subframes im stuck on getting the door striker plates out my 850 any easy way that anyone knows of please

Do you mean the plate on the body or the catch inside the door?
The one on the body should just be screwed on. The one in the door (depending on what doors it has) will be a PITA.
A photo of what your having trouble with might help.

Location: Sydney - strangely, I am glad of the sight of hills!!
lots of penetrating oil over a few days then hit it with an impact driver. I have found that this helps with a lot of the stuck philips head screws.
