Does anyone know where I can find detailed info on the 'E' series engine? I'm looking for cross-sections like this ---

I have more if you need them.
I have the Marina Workshop Manual and the Morris 1300/1500 Workshop Manual.

Those pictures somehow seem to slow my computer down. And the mouse now has chronic understeer.

I can't understand it. It was not the British Marina, it was the Aussie Marina.
Aussie Marinas oversteer. They start off with a plough understeer but then you apply the right foot and the power of the red six turns the chronic understeer into a huge oversteer drift (and then into a hedge backwards)

Ok, maybe I'll try to correct with a little more keyboard in the turn.

Nah you just need to lower your mouse closer to the floor about 2" and replace the rubber slider pads with sticky Yokohama ones. :D

See that's part of the problem right there.

Nah,,, you guys have it all wrong,,, you will definately need to totally re-design the entire front end of the car,,, fit lowered P76 MacPherson struts & Lowered yellow King Springs,,, then fabricate a decent steering rack position mounts ,,, remove the entire rear suspension assy & replace it with a lightweight version of the Datsun independant rear end,,, then swap the engine over the a Twin turbo charged, injected, bored & stroked 5lite alloy V8 from the late injected Range Rover with the 4 bolts mains... add some fuzzy dice from the interior mirror & some clubman GT stripes & then both your mouse & your pussy will become best friends with very neutral handling

:-)

easy-peasy

Edit---> Oh & by the way,,, all the above is only to be attempted on the coupe,,, whatever you do, just please don`t try this on a sedan kids,,, Please just the coupe :-) & fit some decent Phat wheels & tyres so it at least looks half tough :-)

& By the way Sam,,, if you want to make that engine work (better) then forget using that engine all together,,, but if you insist on trying, then just stuff a turbo onto it,,, the head design is just pure YUK!!!

It's not the engine I'm interested in, more the cam carrier and bucket arrangement

Ahaaa,,, i`m onto you Sam,,, If it`s what i think you`re looking at attempting, then we`ve toyed with an idea like that in the past & actually have developed (well my machinist has) an early ford crossflow head with an over head cam carrier & bucket assy,,, once it`s sorted we will have another play with a mini version, but we`re thinking of making it suit something like the elder or the Arden :-)

But don`t tell anyone,,, it`s a secret,,, so Sshhhhh :-)
