hey gang! getting the mini tuned, but the needle is wrong. its a 998 with extractors 1 1/2 " su unsure of internal work, but seems lumpier than standard at idle. at teh moment it has an AAC needle in it hich has a flat spot about half throttle. and generally runs poor. what are other peoples opinions/ experiences, what do you think i should use, and where can i find one! cheers jamie |

I would have the tuner modify the needle to suit. I just had Greig at mini classic do this and the car is running beutifully. Who do you have tuning your car? |

ive got a A+ with extractors and 1 1/2 SU supposedly the factory needle is ADE and im running ADF as there was a flat spot around 2k rpm. it isnt tuned properly though |

flat spots at 2k rpm are often caused by empty dashpots - check that first |

dashpot has fluid in it.(sewing machine fluid, was having the same problem with ATF) with the ADF needle the flat spot isnt noticeable. |
