ok fellas i have an 1100 with 1.5 inch carb on it the fuel adjustment screw is wound all the way up and the engine is still getting too much petrol. why is this? the needle is in correctly i hada an e3 needle in it but put the original back in to see if it would make a difference but it didnt what do you guys recomend? thanks in advance carter

Could be a worn float needle and seat, or dirt in there, or maybe the float has sunk...

Srsly, what sort of 1.5" is it?

if HIF , its not my thing
BUT
IF H4, then check the piston is "bottoming out" onto the bridge.

how rich is it and based on what reading?

careful that an inch & 3/4 jet hasn`t been fitted,,, very common mistake really

1&1/2 is meant to have a .090" (90thou) jet

& the 1&3/4 is supposed to have a .100" (100thou)

If you have a .100" jet fitted then nothing will fix the problem until you switch the jet over to the right one

otherwise check the choke is not stuck on & also make sure the float level is correct as the others have a;;ready suggested

the float is a set level you cannot adjust it.

Plastic float? Yes you can adjust it sort of with a shim. Info supplied by Midel.
