I have often wondered about the credibility of this. Fixes hydralic problems? good one.. All i can see it doing is to keep the release bearing off the clutch, extending the life of the bearing. |

I can't understand what it would do that the clutch return spring doesn't already. The only advantage to this that I can see would be that while you can snap and lose a clutch return spring (I've lost a couple over the years) you're not going to lose this one. On the negative side, you no longer have a throw stop so you run the risk of overthrowing the clutch and prematurely wearing the crank thrusts... |

You should take a look at his other items, like the fake Cooper S id plate that got pulled from ebay a couple of weeks back.... ![]() The normal return spring will not return the throw out bearing properly when the ball on the end of the arm is worn out. With this extra spring you can use the clutch when the arm is totally shagged. I would rather fix the problem than hide it with a dodgy cock up. |

Ah yes, good point. In that case, replace the arm ![]() ![]() Interesting that the seller genuinely appears to be Paul Gulson.. |
