 Hey guys. Just did the head gasket with the old man. Got everything back together, push the starter and I get a spark and everything’s moving.

Pump the gas and the carbie sprayed out fuel (have the air filter off)

if it was running when the head came off, then the timing won't have changed in the mean time....

Just a blindingly obvious one but you didn't put a bit of rag in the inlet ports while the head was off and then not get it all out before you put the manifold back on ?

Did you readjust the rocker clearances afterwards?
Unless the new and old head gaskets are exactly the same thickness and you numbered all the pushrods and put them in the same holes, they will need doing.
