hey guys, im ready t run my hydraulic handbrake lines, i just want to make sure i do it right! big thanks to julie (kyoda) for the tips and photos she gave me. here is a diagram of how i think its meant to be set up, : 
its a quick paint diagram. i have tried search function but only found dodgey posts! |

If you have a 3/4" handbrake, you need to have smaller Wheel Cylinders I found the ones from a Morris Minor More or Less fit, they are 7/16" The Smallest ones are 5/8" available for MINI but for ultimate lock up POWA i use the Minor ones |

I kept the standard proportioning valve in situ, and simply put the handbrake downstream of it... no need to move it, just add a T piece on the rear subframe.

I'm sure you've been told to replace the flexible lines at the back if you haven't already also, the prop valve uses different flares (single flare) to the normal T piece off the firewall (double flare) - so either get a couple of new lines made to go from the new T piece to the flexible lines (as I did, also meant I had some extra length which was handy), or find a single flare T piece |

depends on your definition of 'big' - you're rebuilding and rerouting the entire rear braking system |

if i have time, hopefully ill write up a how too, as this is a question often asked. yes simon everything will be replaced new hoses are on already, thanks for the tip about the lines |
