That would be the year when a new MK1 Cooper S cost $2410.00 or $68.00 per month. I still have the sales brochure from when I went to Larke Hoskins and then left depressed. But eventually purchased a 18 month old Cooper S for $1600.00, which then cost me $400.00 per year for insurance. |

And I was only earning $4 a week in my part time job while at Uni. Now you know why I learnt to work on my own car. |
