at certain revs im getting a consistant rattle between the bonnet and the body just under front window here.... ![]() any ideas of how to reduce or stop this? i was thinking of putting (jamming) a sliver of rubber in there, but this may not be easy if the bonnet is opened and closed |

you could throw some sticky backed foam in the channels |

There should be a rubber strip in there. It sits on the lip of the gutter. If you stick a bit of sponge in the channel it will attract moisture and start to rust. |

A mate of mine with a roundie put 2 short pieces ( 2'' ) of pinchweld ,i think they call it ,( it;s the same stuff that goes around the doors less the rubber) ,on the lip at the top or backside of the bonnet, could be worth a try. |

The proper bit was called "Channel- Bonnet drain" Part number HYB3743. It was like a bit of pinchweld with a lip pointing up. |

The roundies had a bit of sponge (8x13?) in the channel. Even my 3/70 car has it. That moulded one in the pic is a Clubby thing... ![]() |

Try a lump of wood and a big ratchet strap over it ![]() ![]() seriously a strip of "U" shaped rubber woks well. I have heaps of rubber similar to the style that Morris 1100 showed but does not have the little lip. Pm and I will give you some |
