Put the clutch and flywheel in today - after I finished I went to throw the box out and found a small sachet of "clutch spline grease" _ guess I didn't use it - is it necessary?

Then when I put the WOK cover on one bolt wouldn't screw in - New bolt ran the die down the thread and and the tap in the hole all smooth like but still the bolt won't screw in - it starts then jumps out as though the thread is stripped. Any ideas or just leave the bolt out - it's the one immediately above the starter motor

Any ideas or just leave the bolt out - it's the one immediately above the starter motor - I've got one of those too, I think it's the same one - I've left it out for now, one day I'll drill it out & tap to 3/8, or put in a helicoil, you could put some of that metal putty stuff on the thread and shove it in, mightn't do anything tho

but I'm not clever...

I have another name for that bolt...
The 'C' bolt....
But yeah, you can either shorten it a bit, or leave it out.
