Funny how the price gets ratchetted up before sales days so they can give 20% off.

Went up to Supercrap to get a battery, with the 20percent sale that's not a bad saving.... On the front of the shop they have their opening times specifically over the Easter break which is 9-5 each day.....but they were shut, same with the one further up the road. Oh well, home to eat more eggs... I'm wondering if they are saving themselves overtime for their kids working the checkouts. Or avoiding selling their crap at 20 percent less like when all the 2.5hp compressors disappear during sales to only come out the next day??? |

Or come for a cruise up to sydney and buy one trade price from the side door of the aust. distribution centre in huntingwood. I've bought about 3-4 seconds from there.

No, that can be all. The last two I pulled the stickers off anyway as I wanted that old style battery look and it looked perfect to me. That particular battery lasted for four years in a little used vehicle which never needed jump starting. I used to trickle feed it occasionally but not all that often. The other two cars always need trickle charging or boosting and had arguably better more expensive batteries. KB |

The mini, I changed out the battery in the Subaru Forester which is a large 11 plate style. It wasn't gone, but was only reading in the high twelves on the voltmeter early last summer and now it will only reach the low twelves. The alternator is just fine, it pumps out low 14's at about 2k. It's time to get a newer battery now that it's coming on winter. |

I got 8 years out of a Century one in the boat years ago. I find Exide (550CCA) good too. |

I usually go the cheap option with batteries, and get pretty good service typically. But it's a nice car, so it will get a nice maintenance free battery to go with the nice boot
