Who are you and where are you?

I don't see many minis driving around these parts, but I am sure there are some out there.

I am just intersted to find out if there are many mini people around here. I would love to find some other people like me!

I know there's a new car club started up out at Rushworth that has a few 1100's - no mini's as yet that I know of but that could be a starting point. It's called Rev n Rec

Are you a member of the VMCI, if not ,its cheap to join and I,m sure there are members up your way, once your a member you can start organizing your own tours, all you need is a destination and some good roads to get there, if its an official VMCI event that means people with Club Pemit plates can come along to, Ian ( frednutz&co ) is the Club Social Secretary.

Yeah I became a VMCI memebr at the start of this year, but I haven't really been able to get involved because most members seem to be in the Melbourne area, and therefore most of the meetings are there too.

Frednutz&co: Hopefully I will still be in the country for this one, I'm flying out to do six months in Sweden on the 25th of July. If I am here, I'll be happy to help out in any way.

I would love to organise some kind of mini run up this way but don't really know how to go about it by myself, especially because I haven't really participated in one before to know what sort of things to do.

850man: Yeah Simon is actually rebuilding the engine on our Cooper at the moment and has done a bit of work on and supplied parts for my Clubman. He has been fantastic and I would recommend his services to anyone. There's always a few Minis there but I never seem to see many when I'm out and about.

I live here, well half way between Bendigo and Maldon actually. Don't have any road going minis at the moment, but are busy working on my race car. There are a few mini owners that I know here in Bendigo. A friend has a genuine mini Sunshine tucked away in his shed, a lady at my kids school has heaps of them (you may have seen some of them in a paddock on the Maryborough Road near crash corner, and David Shirley in K'Flat has a LS that he is restoring.

planning a cruise is easy. pick somwhere nice to go (a good picnic spot, a point of interest), then find some good windy roads that lead there.

or, if you know of some good windy roads, possibly with a nice view, just take some minis along it!

you need to drive it before the day to make sure you won't be blocked by anything, and you need to provide evryone with a list of directions because invariably, groups get split up. you can also add something fun, a scavenger hunt or a list of questions to be completed along the way

yeah i do sometimes i see minis in sheds or in paddocks and just wish they were being used rather than sitting there! its a shame you don't see more around.
