 Post subject: speedo cable too short

hey just got my car on the road but no speedo i think this is bacause i have stretched the new cable that much it has broken just wondering if there is a longer speedo cable available??

What is your car? Roundie? Clubbie? Leyland Mini? Modified dash? Stock?

There was three main types of cables and lots more different variations that will fit.

If you stretch the outer cable the inner will not reach anymore.

I did that at Eastern Creek once to turn the PA system down. (Darrell Eastlake was commentating)
Just stood on the wire with one foot and lifted the wire with the other foot.

Would you believe he was commentating top fuel drag cars and you couldn't hear the cars for the PA, so I turned it down!

its still in the centre but further away from the firewall closer to the fron of the dash
