Post subject:  Seal spacer rings on disc brakes

I pulled apart the hubs on my race car last night and it had spacers between the seals and the bearings. I have had a few Minis with discs and never seen this before. Maybe they were just left out? Is this standard? Should they be on the inners and outers?

the big split spacer goes between the inboard bearing and the seal, a small solid spacer goes between the bearings.

they're just to stop the inner seal from going too far into the hub, and to make sure it goes in straight - if you've got them, put them back in, if they're missing, it's no big deal

so yes, yes, and no

21A1307 is p/no . Probably are NLA now like lots of little stuff.
For tapered rollers they are .229" (5.81mm) thick, if you want to get some made...

The drum brake ones (used with ball bearings) are only .094" thick.
