Trying to find a set of contact points for 80's A+ 998 engine. Distributor is Lucas 59D4 (41882). If any one has a part number or knows where I can get a set in Australia it would be greatly appreciated. I have tried all the normal places, but so far no luck.

I have a spare 59D dizzy here, I think the points are same as 45D sliding contact `blue' points.

RTC6627/2 $9.35
Cheaper version $7.48.

Hi, picked this up from the floor of my donor mini, seems to be NOS, don’t quote me on that though. These what you’re after? Only got the one, don't know if you need more. If its what you’re after I’ll see what I can do to get it to you. Where you at?

The 45D points I looked at today were red, and not quite the same base plate. The points i am after are the Blue sliding contact points. Could not even find a listing in the Bosch catalog.

No one has them in stock in Aus (when I last looked for them)
Cheers Pete

Don't know if these listed at MinisPlus for 78-84 Minis are the ones you need.

There are 2 45D baseplates. GL19 points are not what you want. The sliding contact points should fit your 59D.
part number I gave above.
I don't think Bosch make them.

You could PM John Smidt at Mini King to make sure.
