WOW. I thought 10"x7" didnt exist, except those made in the back yard. I asked about this the other day in another post, and the basic answer I got was no, no one makes them.

I would be very sceptical about running these wheels for anything but on a show car.
They are designed for a golf buggy - not the stresses for a vehicle at least a few times its weight and at far greater speeds.

165 wide tyres will stretch over 7" wide wheels.
A lot of the Mini Miglia guys run 165/60R10s - A032Rs - on theirs ... in race conditions, and no problems.

Yes they are golf buggy wheels and the only tyres you can get to fit them are 205/50/10 and they are only 6 ply.........no speed or load rating on them at all.......the tyres also say not to inflate over 30 psi

Some Miglia do use 10 x 7's but the last I heard they ran Dunlop slicks....

I'm getting a little tired of these golf cart wheels. They just seem like a bad, bad idea. Any way, here's a link to the Trade Me auction for some golf cart wheels with Falken 165s. That's a retail outlet (Mag & Turbo Warehouse in NZ) selling them as a package. Those wheels actually look pretty strong.

Much as I think the wheels look okay, I still think we need to clarify if they're legal and okay. Perhaps the load rating of 700lb has sufficient leeway for them to be okay, perhaps you'll destroy a wheel, crash and burn to a crisp, clutching for the door handle frantically and regretting you put wheels designed for a top speed of 10mpg travelling over grass...

Actually rescind all that. 10 inch wheels are rubbish and minis only look good with 12" wheels. 13" too big... basically what I have is the gold standard.

Might be time to ask the RTA about them the same as I did about seats a while ago , personally I think the unrated tyres (or the ones I found previously that were ok weight wise but were speed rated to 30 mph ) would be lethal and some sort of ruling would help before someone uses them on a freeway regularly .

id rather buy some mb or force racing splits for the extra money, you know they will be safe and strong.. i doubt the aluminium in those wheels is that good, and as said, they are designed to go 40 k's an hour maximum on grass..

and with the miglias i think they do use yokies on there wet rims, but i also think they run the skinnier rim? looks that way in pictures anyway, could be wrong.

these are the same wheels monster mini posted a little while ago.. i seen them along with GR in the flesh and they look pretty decent. the tyres that would come with them are a nankang 20550r10. tempi tyres says they are good enough for road use otherwise he wouldnt sell them... if they fell apart and you can prove you bought them from him, the amount of trouble it would cause him..it wouldnt be worth the risk.. he wants about $500 for them.

from memory these wheels also had a weight stamped on them aswell as the little M type symbol most properly made rims have.


best off going to the RTA and finding out..
