Post subject:  Weber Carb

Hi i was having a look on ebay and found a 30 DIC twin barrel weber. There isnt much info on it, so i was hoping someone would know more about it other than they were fitted to fiat 500 abarths. Would this make it too small for a modified 1000 with extractors, rc40 exhaust and a hot camshaft?
Or is it better to look for twin hs2s?
Cheers
Joe

I reckon it's too small. A popular downdraft Weber for Minis `way back when' was a 28/36DCD.
But you needed a decent manifold for these, most were made for Sprites and Minors and so the carby was sideways in a Mini, = fuel surge.

However, IMO it's hard to beat a pair of HS2s on a modified 998, for looks and performance.

Thanks, I was thinking it may be too small, not even mentioned in how to modify your mini. Guess ill keep looking out for a pair of hs2s.
