Hello, in my country there is problem. And that problem is mini. I think it's starter motor is stuck on. Or something. Just trying to start it, before, it stuck on and continued its humming or whatever noise it does. After 15 seconds it stopped. So I tried again and that time it did not stop. So without knowing what was wrong, I pulled the leads off the battery. Now I can't connect the leads back up because they go crazy sparking everywhere. So i had to leave it parked on the road in the main street of town. This is not a safe place for a mini on a Saturday night ![]() ![]() ![]() What's wrong with it? |

The starter solenoid is stuck. Give it a sharp tap with a SFH and it should switch off the juice.. |

If it's a standard starter motor, then your starter solenoid is somehow stuck on. Take the red/white wire off the solenoid, and try and reattach your battery leads carefully. If the starter motor still runs, the contacts are welded shut, it will need replacing (supercrap have these on the shelves). If it doesn't try to turn, put the terminals on and test the red/white wire for 12 volts. If it has 12 volts on it, then there is a fault upstream, probably in the ignition barrel contacts. |

Ok, thanks for that! I'll try it out tomorrow. Too dark now. I expect some damage to be done to the Mini though. Now, in this town, more and more people know and continue to learn who I am. Being a footy umpire in a small town is very random ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
