put new dizzy cap and leads in but i'm unsure about the order before i turn the key. i took photos of the last cap and leads set up before i took it out but i'm still sketchy on it. at the moment it looks like the firing order is 1234. clearly wrong. anyone able to get me a photo of where all the leads go from the cap to the sparky plugs? |

you don't need an image, it's 1-3-4-2 usually starting from the 2 o'clock position and going anticlockwise. If you had you dizzy oriented wron all along, then you will need to rotate the plug sequence to each of the four possibles (but in the same anticlockwise order) until you get it right. You can also take the rocker cover off, align the engine to number one firing (No 1 piston at or near TDC, both valves closed) and the rotor button will be pointing to the number one position. |

Ah well, you will need to adjust this position dependant on where you are in Australia. -Perth will need to adjust number one to 12 o'clock, -South Australia adjust number 1 to 1.30 -Queensland will need to adjust distributor by roating anticlockwise (20yrs*365days*24hrs) = 175,000hrs to adjust for their lag in time. |

You will need to retard the timing as you cross the border. |
