what do i need & where do they go.

the white electric one?

it's rover powered mini.

ah sorry!! Harley.

it's a rover break booster pedal set up.

mostly everything in my mini are rover parts.

If you have the rover booster, then you need the rover pedal box to suit.
The white plastic switch will do the job, it'll probably work easier with the wiring loom,
but the 60's pressure switch will do the job too.

I had mine break a few months back, it sits in a little bracket behind the brake pedal, 2 minute job to replace after waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive from UK.

I have the rover booster & the rover pedal box.

as far as i can remember.

but if i need to buy a 60's one can some one link me to what they look like?

i bought the above white one for $10 today.

The 60's pressure switches they sell in the 00's are not well made in whereverland, they have a poor reliability record.
I got 3 months from one new one, then 3 weeks from another. NO MORE...

IMO a mechanical switch is the only way to go- and the bloke behind you will appreciate the extra warning that you have tossed the anchors out. :D

That is same as a late Clubby or Moke switch, you can buy here.
BTW the nut for it is just 1/2" UNF. :wink:

ok great mate.

that's what i bought.

I'm not sure where it go's where it sits under inside or under the brake pedal.

i cant really work out where under that pedal but I'm sure it cant be hard

just hard when it's there in the first place!

The switch sits sort of up the top above the pedal. The pedal lever hits it when you put your foot down.

Are you sure of that? On all pre-Rover Minis (and other cars) it's the other way, it comes on when the pedal is pushed away from it.
Have another look... :wink:
