Post subject: | Boot board and spare tyre |
G'day everyone-- My '70 cooper S is ready to go to its new home in Canada, and I'm trying to decide which spare belongs to it and which one belongs to my '66 S; and also whether the one boot board I have is for it, or for my '66 S. Here are pictures of the spares: ![]() ![]() And here are pictures of the boot board: ![]() ![]() On the spare tyre rim with the Dunlop logo stamped into the metal, it also has an old (original?) New Zealand manufacture tyre on it, which may give a clue also. Photos: ![]() ![]() ![]() I'd be happy to send the tyre to someone, if you need it for a very thorough restoration. No idea whether these are hard to come by or not. The tyre on the other spare is a brand new Korean Kumho. Thanks as always. Ben McCafferty |

![]() OK, so the spare on the Cooper S was also a 4.5", 9-hole, ventilated wheel? I didn't know that. bmc |

Boot board would be for the 70 as all Mk 2 were black. Mk1 had same colour as interior vinyl.......I am pretty sure, well fairly sure..... |

Ok, then LP882 is the 3.5" standard Cooper S rim and the one that will allow the bootboard to fit properly on a English S. Does the same apply to Aussie S's? Regards Al |

Regards Al We never ever got the 3.5" S wheels in cars here, they came with 5x 4.5" S ones. |
