Post subject:  2 fuel Tanks, 1 filler neck

Hey guys

Sorry in advance if this is a repost.
I saw in one of the english mini mags that someone had a dual tanks but with one filler neck. Ive currently got the two tanks in mine and one of them seems to be leaking so looking at maybe replacing it.
Is this set up an easy one, im guessing i would just have to get a right tank and have the neck taken off. Also how big would the line between the two tanks be so that i dont have to wait ages for the tanks to fill up at the petrol station

Thanks

I'd just fit a rover tank, 35 litres as opposed to 25.

this might sound weird asking this for a mini boot, but do the rover tanks take up more space?

Of course they do, where else will the extra fuel go?

ok so dont really want to loose any more boot space, or other wise my amp wont fit in :).

If the right tank is leaking then they are really expensive to replace being a Cooper S item.

If the left tank is leaking then they are easily replaced as they are common to all Minis.

Don't cut the neck off a RH tank, they are worth $400-500 in good nick.

I think Harley was suggesting you replace the left tank with a 35 L Rover one and pull the RH tank out, giving you back the boot space.

that must be a MASSIVE amp! the 35 L tank doesnt take up that much more space, think of putting 10 milk cartons next to your fuel tank

what's more important to you, a half decent rage or the amp? there are plenty of other places the amp can go
