Hey guys. I'm looking to do the timing on the 77 clubman S. i cant find the timing light>>> anyone know the location??? |

There is a pointer in the clutch housing (behind that little cover) and marks on the flywheel. Later motors also had a notch on the crank pulley and marks on the timing cover. |

if you cant see the numbers you can make it out by the triangle of the diaphram if you know what your looking for. |

The flywheel is often rusty and when moving, the marks can be next to impossible to see. What I do is get the engine to TDC on #1 cylinder so you can see the marks through the hole in the clutch cover, then put a dot over them with some liquid paper. Makes 'em stand out like dogs balls ![]() |
