About $150 for the bore & hone, not sure about the price of pistons, i recommened Graham Russell's pistons, call him for a price.

That's if you deliver the bare block and rods with a box of new pistons to the engine machinist. Ramps up dramatically if there is dissassembly and reassembly to be performed by the mechanic.

What size are you going to , I have a brand new set of +60 Hypatec 9.75 pistons and rings here for $185 if you want them. I had to use another block and got left with these the rings are the cast type and the box has never been opened.

Hypatec are good pistons, I have them (73.0mm) in both the 1360 and the 1412 stroker. Graham Russell bored and honed both blocks.

MMm ok sounds tempting. I havent got and engine yet but im think i may be very close hence why im asking about this. I'll have about $3000 so that im guessing should do be enough to get it bored with pistons etc. and have abit of money for some fun bits shouldnt it?

The person you are thinking about buying the engine off also has a set of brand new +40 Hypatecs and hastings rings I believe; and A+ rods that he may be willing to do a deal on for a marginal extra amount - or you could talk to Graham about his pistons.

It is currently +20 (1293). +40 would take it to 1310cc. Graham normally tells people to let him see the block before deciding on pistons however.
Graham quoted me $150 also to bore the block; $350 to wedge and balance the crank, but that is just the bare block and crank, no dissassembly or reassembly.

You really are best calling Graham direct and discuss your wants and needs and building up a plan from there.
