ok,,, go & """UN_Adjust""" your front brakes completely,,, mke sure the cyl pistons are right back home ,,, then bleed them,,, then Adjust them up again after you have done all that , report back here with the results OK??? |

I've had that trouble. Putting new pads on solved it for me. Looking at the pads was deceptive, I thought the old ones had plenty of meat left, however once they get so far down the pedal just wasnt acheivable. Good Luck with it. |

the front cyls on the "twin-Leading" show set up, are mounted vertically,,, so at least one of them (on both sides of the car) will have an "Avaliable" air pocket under te adjusted up cyl piston when you "Un-Adjust" the fronts, you are effectively pushing that piston back down so the bottom of it becomes Level with the bleed hole & the air can then escape,,, if you were to have the shoes adjusted up while bleeding, then the air will be held captive in the cyl, above the bleed hole & under the piston sooo,,,, """UN-Adjust the front brakes,,, Making sure the pistons are right home,,, then bleed them,,,, & then adjust them back up. the 2nd pump of the pedal should find it high & hard If not ,,, then you have other problems. you don`t have to trust me,,, cause i`m not there helping to diagnose the problem,,, but i have done this mini repairs thing for a little while ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Never done that but it sounds like a very effective method. My method of opening a nipple then getting an assistant to pump the pedal 15 times FAST then close the nipple with the pedal down works every time for me. Remember to re-fill the master. I managed to fill and bleed the dry assembled system on my mini using 1 bottle, mind you that bottle cost me $38 ![]() |
