im thinking of buying something like this for my breathers to both go into of the 1275. is this the correct one? the engine has 2 breathers & they would go into both inlets? or am i confusing this with something else? [/img] |

Good for the track, useless for the road, IMO. You get no real crankcase ventilation, just a spew tank... ![]() Compared to a proper PCV system, the car will be smelly to drive. |

Catch tanks is catch tanks. Bling is not speed equipment, as it doesn't add speed. ![]() Remember with any catch tank, the air venting area must be at least equal to the total area of the hoses, preferably more. Also, those Blingy filters clog up with oil and muck, then the breathers don't work. |

I agree with the doc here. ![]() The only reason to fit a catch tank is when the regulations make you. Like when you are racing. The motor may make less power and leak more oil using a catch tank instead of a proper PCV system (like the 1100S and Cooper S got) |

i see the breathers. I'm not sure what I am looking for sorry Doc. so them Black pipes are going straight into the twin carbs from the breathers? i think they plug into the little holes? they would normally, i have have twin su's also & bought the same filters for them as what you have they come with a little bung thingy & a plastic pipe things. Im thinking they pipe straight into that? really I'm in no need of any new parts? just pipe it up right? |

If your SUs have a pipe on the side at an angle, pipe straight into that. Another pic- Best to use a Y piece and connect to both carbs though (this was an old pic). PCV valve is not needed with this method. |
