depends on what look you are going for. You could always try "lamborghini hinges". Dont know much about them except that they are a universal fit, and it makes your doors open up, not out.

Did australian Minis never have them? :) European Minis got them with the MkIII :)

Jan's got it - British built Minis got internal door hinges on Mk III, whereas Australian Minis - despite the change to 'burstproof' door latches - retained external door hinges. :)

The easiest way to get internal door hinges in a Mini is to buy a Rover. The picture you've posted, Ash, is an English car. You can tell not just by the lack of external hinges, but also by the glass - those are single piece windows - wind up, with no quarterlight. Quarterlights were an Australian feature, too. :)

If you want to convert your existing Mini, all the best... I have no idea how you'd go about that, unless you decided to cut panels and weld in the Rover system... :?

The door profile and A panel are different in section. An internal hinge conversion wouldn't be easy.

why would you want internal Ash? Unless you were wanting to give the clubby a shaved and smooth look....

Changing the external ones to internal requires a bit of work and a lot of patience... if its the gaskets your worried about you can get them from any mini supplier... or give me a bell and ill make you some rubber ones....

Ok, it is possible as I had it done to my panelvan but it's rather tricky and expensive.

Basically I supplied the panel beater with a Rover front cut and a pair of rover doors. He then cut the body section of the A pillar out and welded in the same section from the Rover mini.

Then he cut the front couple of inches off each door and replaced them with the same section of Rover door.

This gave me Mk III door hinges ans hinge panel with Ozy burst proof handles and Ozy Mk II windows so I still have the quarter lights.

Wow! 8)
Certainly not a conversion for a painted car!

I'm surprised you didn't go the whole hog and modify the doors for single piece glass.

Thought abut it but we weren't sure if it would work as the hoops are slightly different and we didn't have the B pillar to fit the complete Rover doors  . It still may be possible to modify the door to take a one piece window :? .
