Being a noob to Mini's, my current 850 has flares, but what size wheels can i fit under them without scrubing and looking out of place to the police.
I like the look of the 10x7 ]http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=1934 or http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=51369
and 13x7 ultralites but not sure if they fit without mods. Currently i have stepped finned drums and S Disc' upfront.
Below is a pic of the car in its current state...thanks for all help in advance

Before you get too excited about the Tempe tyres 10 X 7 have a read through here so you know what to ask them before buying , http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=52408 The last lot of 10" tyres that were availible in Aust were only meant to be used on golf karts or similar and weren't rated for highway loads or speeds . I asked Tempe Tyres about the speed and load rating's of these tyres and they said they would get back to me , that was about a month ago .

No real need to go over 5" wide anyway and they'll sit nicely under your flares with a 165 wide tyre .

& will put your track WAY over legal... If you are after something that is gonna be road legal, even some 10/12 X 6's are deemed not roadworthy - it all depends on the offset.

I reckon it looks great just as it is- same wheels, tyres, flares and offset as mine, LOL.
It won't handle as well with golf cart tyres and 10x7s, or with 7x13s wheels IMO.
And you will become a moving cop magnet.....

I think you have the topic backwards. Leave the wheels as they are, change the flares!
:D

cheap to buy.. check
cheap to replace.. check
easy to get, even just 1.. check
no ugly afterthought steel strips to weld onto car.. check
can paint em if you don't like black.. check
want them off? Just fill a few tiny holes, dead easy. No ugly metal strips to take back OFF the car.
no crappy pretend chrome plastic strips to shrink, fade and fall off.

:P Each to their own opinion
IMO the car looks great as it is but I do think it could look better with "S" type flares. If it was my car i wouldn't change it, just make it go faster

I like the chrome edge myself.. 8)

IMO a set of these would be just the shot....

http://www.minispares-online.co.uk/?cat_id=7&sub_cat_id=55&prod_id=49

Very easy to fit... screw holes are in the same place as the ones you already have. Buy the flexable chrome strip and the arch to body rubbers as well..

And the best bit... the price is getting cheaper everyday at the moment

Please don't buy those tempe tyre 10x7" rims. The general vibe with those is that they are built for golf carts.

Still best to check with them and get the speed and load ratings for the tyres rather than just trusting what's said on a forum like this . Other tyres sold on ebay that were the same size and brand were only for golf carts and only rated up to 30 kph  . These may be different but when I asked they couldn't tell me at the time and promised to get back to me with the ratings .
