You can maybe regrind it to something newer, (like an RE13) if it's got meat left on it.
I had an S cam once, got it reground to a 731, then a few years later to an RE13.

What are the specs of a RE13 camshaft? Why does everybody think it is so good? Is a RE13 a race cam or a road cam etc etc. I am interested in knowing why people think they are so good when there are so many other options available.

It has about 274° duration and .290" lift at the lobe.
It is a street cam not a race cam, but has very good midrange. I had a VP3 in the 1310S before (with 45DHLA Dellorto) and the RE13 killed it for midrange grunt. Top end was about the same.
It works well in anything from 998 to 1400 or more, using 1.5 rockers adds HP on the bigger motors.
Graham has a few variations of this cam depending on motor size & intended use. There is also an RE13T for turbos.

all i'm reading is RE13 bla.. bla.... bla.....

the topic was has anyone had experience with a speco 260.
there are better cams out there than an RE13, it will all depend on what you are trying to achieve.
it has too much duration to be a road cam in the smallest small bores.

Motor Improvements have all the old Speco camshaft masters and they should be able to give you the specs for the 260. If they cant help then Wade cams in Oakleigh should have the details. Talk to Keith.
