are these things installable? i don't mind not having mod cons in the car for the most part, but on a foggy melbourne morning, a de-mister is pretty damn handy!

Hi,

Front screen or rear?

The model of Mini you have will affect what options you have for demisting the front screen. What model do you have? Any Mini can be fitted with a heater if one is not already fitted, and all factory heaters have front screen demisting (even if it's pretty crude!).

Rear screens will require an aftermarket screen demister, unless you are fortunate enough to find a screen with one already fitted.

Cheers,

Spuds were cheap, dad used to grow them on the farm.
Can't remember how long it lasts....

Back in the 60s, demisters and heaters were add-on accessories for most cars. The little 12V element demisters that stuck on the bottom of the screen with suction cups worked good.
