Between myself and my father in law, we have 'quite a few' radiators now...

Do the roundy ones have the top outlet at the front of the vehicle, and the Clubby ones have the top outlet under the filler neck?

That's the only visible difference between all of them.

The early clubman ones are the same as the roundie with the top outlet at front, the later model clubman had them under the cap neck.
Cheers Pete

Cheers Pete.

Why was the change made, and which would flow better?

I think the change was made so that they could fit the airpump for the pollution gear where the top hose would normally go and the Inlet on the head moved to the back..I don't think it would make much difference to the way it flows, and would depend on the condition of the radiator, but i could be wrong..

If you fit the early rad and thermostat housing, you can pretend your `78 Clubbie never had an air pump & its plumbing... 8)
Bit obvious otherwise with the old pump mount there for all to see..

What would you expect from a Government that invents ADRs, forces manufacturers to comply with them & emission laws, then puts absolutely no testing procedures in place!
I bet I could remove the cat etc from my EA Ford (crap, it's probably full of crap, car might go harder!) and nobody would notice at rego time..
