What's the difference, apart from oil filter size/shape?
I'm not talking about the Rover boxes.....

Possibly a lower diff ratio!

There are possibly 3 final drive ratios for Autos.
2.76 - late Mini Japan spec SPi (workd out to 3.2ish with 1.15:1 drop gears)
3.2? - usual Mini-Matic and Rover (works out to 3.6ish with 1.15:1 drop gears)
Something like a 3.7 or 3.9 final drive in some model of Morris 1100/1300. I'm yet to see one, but want to get hold of one. Then I can run proper Moke sized tyres.

My MiniMatic books say diff is 3.27:1, but overall ratio 3.76:1.
Multiply 3.27 by 1.15, it's pretty close...

Judging by GPS readings vs revs and taking into account tyre size, I have the 3.27 in there now. (gearing works out around 3.76). I want to go to a lower ratio so I can run 185/70R13 mud+snow tyres when I want to play and use the 185/60 Yokies on the road. At the moment it doesn't have enough torque to pull 185/70 tyres.

Maybe I should just supercharge it.
