since pulling it apart, i have found rust int he battery side of the traveler.
should i Por15 it bare metal it etc as the rust is in random spots & it's been patched up in the past in other spots, looks messy as well.

there is small holes in floor key size & some parts look Crunchy. it's not bad but would like to get onto it now while all the car is apart!

2nd option

these floors from a smashed front end Cluby (no engine )that has a perfect non rusted back floor & get it welded in?

if any one knows where i can get floor for the traveler then let me know.

but i was thinking this is the best idea?

It sounds as though you should ultimately replace the floor. Estate floors are longer, but it's possible to lengthen saloon floors to fit using two lots of panels but estate floors are available new from the UK. Depending on where the rust is, you may not need to replace the entire floor and you could as such replace the rusted front part using saloon floors as patches.

If you use saloon floors, just make sure the floor profile is the same. Aren't aussie floorpans unique to those cars?

Since no-one can see it, you can cut and patch as before as a stop gap measure. That's what we've done on our Clubman Estate and I'm not bothered about what it looks like underneath. Eventually I'll source a new floor from the UK and do it properly but funds at the moment are going into a heat pump since it's bloody cold here at the mo... (plus it's my wife's daily driver).

Hi Again NG, totally off topic, but i couldent find yer other post.Ive mentioned your soggy traveller to a few mates and one ov them sugested seeing if you could hire a panel beaters oven for a few hours to speed the drying time up, i dont know if that has been sugested yet but might be something to to think about :D

Oz floor from 1967 on is lots different, including all Clubbies (same floor). They all have the 2 `hydro channels' in the floor and different fluting.
Your Traveller would be similar shape to an early Oz floor, but not the same.
