Hi NG, i used that grouse material backed duct tape on the inside ov the roof lining. just peel back the roof lining an stick er on , just make sure you mate up the ends of the tear. Did this a few years back and its still going strong

when you find out let me know, i have three rips in the roof.

What i find wierd is when im driving along wind comes out of the rip holes, and i have no idea how the wind gets inside the roof lining in the first place.

Is the wind injected in? same as wiring smoke?

The wind goes up the A pillars from the engine bay.
BMC/Leyland put bits of foam up the top near the roof to stop it. Not a great idea- they get damp and cause rust.

So you just taped it from behind? I can see that working nice.

I reckon if soaked liberally in fish oil then refitted, they might be OK. You need something in there to stop the wind problem...
