I am going to build a warm 1100 and was planning on using a HA fixed needle in a 1 1/2 SU and was researching a richer alternative to the HA , on the online SU chart I,m using it lists the HG which has a richer profile but I,m not sure if its fixed or floating, can anyone assist ?

should be fixed - Midel told me the 3 letter ones are floating, but ring them and ask, or whoever you're buying it off

Thanks Simon, I may have to give Larry at MiniSpares a call, he was able to get me the HA so the HG should'nt be a problem, the only information I,ve got about the HG is that the guys in MG 1100's liked the HG when they switched to twin 1 1/4 SU's and a bigger cam for Sports Touring Events ( this was translated from French so I may have lost something in translation )

Well MiniKing John Smidt just sent me an interesting PM, he said according to his notes the HG was standard on 1071 Cooper S , 8) looks like I,ll be giving John a call , sounds like it will do the job nicely.
