I Am wondering if anyone knows if there is a non return valve on the original Hydro pumps? Anyone got a parts diagram for the pump. I am trying to ascertain why mine is really hard to pump with.... |

Not sure Ive only used one myself twice (i dont have one of my own yet), but it would make sense if there were non return valves - one on the feed line and one on the evacuation line - the same rating as the rear line valves. |

I fitted one when I made my hydro pump. ![]() It works well - I haven't tried it without it though. It's the red thing. ![]() I have a separate vacuum pump which runs off my air drill. |

I dont use one on my homemade hydro pump. The schrader valve acts as a non return valve. ![]() But when using the low-loss chuck like on the original pump there would have to be some sort of non return valve otherwise it will never pump up. |
