Hi, I have just bought a mini in qld and getting it shipped to perth. Here in WA we have a transfer form that needs to be signed by both parties to transfer the rego/ownership across (and pay stinking stamp duty)

What is the go in qld, is there any special form the seller needs to fill in or just give me a paid in full receipt with current rego papers?

I think it would also be wise to ask for the last registration certificate.

Hi Babes,

The thing they are big on here in Perth is proof of ownership. Get as much documentation as possible i.e. receipt of payment and the last/current rego papers and make sure the numbers match. Otherwise it will take a few weeks for them to do a search on the car to make sure it is not stolen.

The best inspection centres to go to are Warwick (they do quite a few minis) or Midland (There is a mini enthusiast there). As long as the paperwork is all there and the car is roadworthy and clean they will pass it.

Good luck and show us some pics.

Cheers,

Gig

There is pics of the car in this thread, it is the black one with the rego number 11QIK, it doesn't have the blower on it now though.

I'd be sending Dave a copy of the WA transfer form (with your section filled out) for him to fill out and sign and return it to you with all the other paperwork as mentioned by others.

Thanks for the input, am I right in assuming there is no stamp duty payable as it was purchased in qld?

I plan on putting a supercharger back on, already got a few quotes in. Cant wait to get behind the wheel of this baby.
