Decided to look at the wiring in the back of Marcia, Started to clean the back out so could move around a bit. Moved the bonnet back on her nose and found a shaft sticking out behind the windscreen I have saftly put away. Its a clean rack..Score can't remeber where I got it from..but
is this a Aussie one. I put it against one I know is a Aussie one and.
My other one does not have this allen key bolt and also rather than saying AUST Patent is says World Patent RH (Right Hand) 21112

It's Cam Gears so it's an Oz one.

I just did up a greased one (now filled with gear oil) for 4myego, but grease was fresh and rack hardly used since, so was OK. Just the bush on the end was buggered and the PO never replaced it.... :!:

Question for those people that like putting EP2 grease in Mini racks, how do you expect the inner tierod ends to get any lube...

Cam Gears made UK ones too, but no Aussie patent, obviously.

on closer inspection and a chat with Dr Mini its a Mk2 Uk rack its got 2.7 lock to lock. it does look like its been serviced as its been greased and all clean. with no movment in the shaft so the end bush has eather been replace or just in good condition. Luck for me I have already installed Mk2 arms which has the little ears on the small end.
I will just fill it with pump gear oil in and seal it back up and fit.
I should be able to put Marcia on all four wheels shortly.
Be good just to move her around a little 8)
