Castrol Formula R, 25W/50 (they say same stuff as the old GP50) ![]() I found it holds pressure better when hot than GTX2 (20W/50) does. |

Yea, that Castrol Forumula R is good stuff, The gear changes are so much better with it, i read a little brochure for it and it says that is can be used as a replacement oil in certain gearboxes ![]() |

Yeap, most weeks it's about 500, then if I go for a drive on the weekend it'll bump it up... I have a bike as well, so sometimes he doesn't get driven much to work, but I just can't stand to see him sitting there ![]() |

![]() Here Here. Give this man a cheer. I too hate to see cars just sitting around. Cars were built (and in a lot of our cases re-built) to be driven!! What's the point of having a Mini or any other nice car and not driving it?? [/2cents] |

[/2cents] I totally agre, this mini was built to be driven. If you keep the general mantinace up to it, it will last a life time. Cheers Pete |

I've only had my mini for a year now, but touch wood, apart from a few teething problems when we first got it on the road, it has been reliable motoring as a daily driver. I just can't wait to have the time and money to start fixing it up the way I want it, but even the way it is now I wouldn't have any other car!!! |

I use Fuchs Formula 60, (I'm told it's basically equivalent to the Castrol GP50) - when I first got my blue cooper, I changed to the Fuchs and it ran 10 degrees cooler, quieter, smoother... |
