I just saw a TV ad for Thrifty Link....you know the hardware store.....the ads with Red Symonds....

In the latest, he is driving a Mini!!

red with white roof. I didn't see whether it was a clubby or roundie, but it has clubby mirrors on it!

I saw that ad and thought that it looked like a rover mini. I will have to see it again.

Looks like a Clubbie, has the early seats with separate headrests.

The ad agency that did that advertisement contacted me regarding a Mini for that advert quite a while ago.

I went to a lot of trouble to organise someone with a particular colour Mini for them and on the dates they wanted, and at the last minute they rang her and cancelled. The poor girl had taken holidays from work just to appear in their ad.

She wasn't very happy needless to say and either was I after all the trouble I went to.

That's more than just a little bit rude!

Needless to say you won't be buying anything from Thrifty-Link any time soon??

Yeah, I thought it was too. I have dealt with others prior to this but never had any other problems.

John (hubbie) did the promo for Fat Pizza with his Red Cooper.

They travelled from cinema to cinema with two other big cars from the movie to promote the release.

They got some great stuff, t-shirts, free tickets, fluffy dice, and "Doof" number plates. He had a ball.

So, they aren't all irresponsible thank god.

I have absolutely no idea. They didn't even give the girl a reason for cancelling so we didn't know if they were going ahead with the ad or not.

Actually it was quite funny as my husband is rather large and he wore the T-shirt they gave them , white with the Fat Pizza writing on it and it was quite tight and there he was in his "small" mini.
